On 12/19, the Monon South Trail opened it’s first section in Orleans, Indiana with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Congrats to everyone involved, led by Jeff Quyle of Radius Indiana as the project manager. Construction will continue but to get from concept to an open section in less than 2 years is an incredible accomplishment.

In 2023-24, I led the creation of Park Master Plans for four communities along the trail route to help prepare for the trail’s integration into their parks systems. I’m so proud of the work we did with Orleans, Salem, New Pekin, Borden and Radius to further enhance these Trail Towns’ capacity to grow and improve their recreation infrastructure, economic opportunities, and quality of life and proud to be a very small part of the Monon South Trail team.
