The Silver Creek Township Park Board has adopted a new Park System Master Plan for the years 2026-2030. Silver Creek Township is in Clark County, Indiana just across the Ohio River from Louisville. The Township partnered with Crossroads Development Resource in May of 2025 to lead the plan project.

The plan focuses on the renovation of a newly acquired property, Speed Park. This historic park was under private ownership for almost 100 years before being purchased by the Township and is in serious need of repairs and upgrades. The planning process engaged with a community heavily invested in the park and supportive of its transfer to the Township and renovation to transform it into a neighbornood jewel. The Township also operated Silver Creek Township Park, a large and complex park that hosts the Sellersburg Celebrates! festival and youth baseball and football leagues but is otherwise underutilized for community events. The plan moves the Township toward maximizing both park resources for their potential to imporve quality of life, community pride, and economic development.
